Gene WoodsPresident – Protein Group, earned Bachelors of Science degrees in both Accounting and Business Administration from Northeastern State University and began his career in the poultry industry in 1969. He joined Simmons in 1982 at the time of the O’Brien acquisition. Gene has served in numerous positions at Simmons including, Director of Feed Operations, Vice-President Feed Operations, Sr. Vice-President Live Production and Protein, Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer before retiring then returning to Simmons in his current position. |

Dan HensonDan Henson studied industrial electronics at Arkansas Valley Technical Institution and several business courses at the University on the Ozarks. He has 14 years experience in the Protein industry. Previously, he held positions as Plant Manager, Fleet Manger, and Complex Manger while employed with Tyson. Currently, he is the Plant Manager for Simmons Industries in Southwest City, Missouri. |

John HaidJohn Haid markets the animal feed ingredients. Prior to joining Simmons , Haid was manager of animal feed ingredients at Hudson Foods, and Tyson Foods in Henderson, Kentucky. He was also president of Georgia Proteins, and senior vice-president at Pilgrim's Pride. John is a native of Northwest Arkansas and graduated from the University of Arkansas with a bachelor's drgree in agriculture. He is a former director of the US Poultry and Egg Association, and past president of the Association's Poultry Protein and Fats Council. |

Jennifer CooperJennifer joined the Simmons Team in July of 1995. She performed various clerical duties in different locations of Simmons-Fairland, Jane, Anderson and Southwest City before taking the position in 1997 as Administrative Assistant for Protein--Sales/Payroll/Customer Service.

Bill BarnesBill is the Protein Accounting Manager located in Southwest City, MO. In 1998, he graduated from The University of Tulsa with a bachelors degree in Business Administration and Accounting. He then worked in the public accounting arena as an auditor until June of 2000, when he started with Simmons Protein. |
